Hisotry of District Wola

Post-II WW Period of Warsaw District Wola
After 1945 – Expansion of industry (the so-called Western Industrial District was established: Marcin Kasprzak Works, Róża Luksemburg Works, Ludwik Waryński Works, Polfa Pharmaceutical Works, Lamp Machine Building Works, and others) and residential housing, with the city expanding towards Wola. From the rubble of the city, a hill was created in Moczydło Park, and the main streets were reconstructed and reconfigured (e.g., Kasprzaka, Prądzyńskiego, Krochmalna, Leszno, etc.).
1951 – Incorporation of the present-day Bemowo area into Warsaw as part of the Wola district.
1992 – Separation of district Bemowo from the Wola district.
